 It all began the summer of 2006 when four business owners sat at a local establishment to cool off with a drink, discussing how there was something missing in the North Scottsdale area bringing businesses and the community together. Networking and lead groups are available all throughout the valley, but we wanted something more. We wanted to grow the community as a whole and give something back, while we grow our own respective businesses.
It quickly turned into adding two more business owners and meeting each Friday morning around a dining room table laying the plan to bring a new chamber of commerce to the north part of Scottsdale, where many felt there was a presence missing.
These discussions around dining room tables with 6 dedicated and motivated individuals started to become real. Action plans were initiated, articles of incorporation were filed, bank accounts were established, and then it came time to announce this venture! The North Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce was actually coming to life!!
We were planning on doing our formal launching of the Chamber in January 2007. Yet, our excitement of what we were doing had become so contagious, we decided to have an informal announcement party that November by just word of mouth. We were hoping to have at least 50 people show up at our party. We had not anticipated how rapidly the word spread and how people were lining up outside of the door of the restaurant just to get in to our party! At our initial event we had close to 200 people show up and in less than 30 days, we brought on close to 100 members! This is only the beginning! We wanted to get everyone involved! The word was spreading and people everywhere were hearing about us! The word on the streets was "They are a heck of a lot of fun!"
We continued with our plans on having our formal launching in January 2007. Since that time, our membership has more than doubled, with many people contacting us each week asking how they too can join! It has been quite a journey in such a short amount of time. Our board has grown to over 14 incredible people who volunteer their time and talents often on a daily basis to help make this chamber something we are all proud of! We do it all for YOU!

The primary goals of the North Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce are to provide services for members and to improve their business commerce, Improve the economic growth in the community, monitor legal & government issues affecting the community, to improve upon and inform members of community lifestyle and growth. | |
